I just couldn’t say “No” to a recent invitation to check out the updated menu at LobsterCraft in Darien. I have followed captain Mike all over Fairfield county since he first started his business in a food truck. He has since expanded with a brick and mortar location in Darien as well as his first location in New York city (1 Penn Plaza). I love LobsterCraft and its creative menu – and judging by captain Mike’s recent business expansion, I am obviously not the only one who feels that way.
The menu is getting better and better. Take the recent addition of spicy and delicious Crab Cakes for instance. One bite of these babies – and you will not be able to stop. The crab cakes come perched on top of a piece of bread – so that the whole dish can make for a filling lunch on its own. These are a must try people!
The Lobster Mac-n-Cheese has generous pieces of lobster meat and Kielbasa which truly turn it up a notch. I ordered this dish a few times in the past and found it to be on the dry side – so I had been staying away from it. But this time it was far from dry… it was cheesy and super-delish! I believe 3 different types of cheese come together for the perfect flavor profile.
Lobster Bisque is another wonderful composition of feel-good flavors and super creamy texture.
I loved how everything on the menu has generous helpings of lobster meat in them. You will find that the menu items are a bit pricey – but you are certainly not going to feel skimped.
On my last visit I also discovered that LobsterCraft sells frozen, ready-to-heat-when-you-have-the-urge-to-eat Lobster Pot Pie. It takes about 45 minutes (in the oven) to have this delicious meal on-demand. It’s comfort food with no compromises so I plan to stock up my freezer with these treats.
And finally, I must mention that my all time favorite is LobsterCraft’s Heat Wave Lobster Roll – it’s like that trustworthy friend whom I can always rely on. 🙂
Forget the never ending freezing weather for a few moments – step inside LobsterCraft – and warm your soul!
